Girls Just Want To Have Fun

Oh My Gosh, just look at those pretty blues. I just love these adorable images from Some Odd Girl, this one is called "Puddle Hopping Tia". This image reminded me of when my kids were little. After it rained in the summer they would go outside in shorts and bare feet to jump around in the puddle. Every once in a while I would join them just for the fun of it. We would laugh and play and giggle to our hearts content. The neighbors must have thought I was nuts, lol, and I was. Crazy for pretending to be a little girl even if it was just for a small amount of time.

Who says we have to grow up. Everyone says that men never really grow up...so why do we? Another reason I had to have this image is because it showed a girl in a puddle, rather than the much more common boy.

Do you remember that song? "Girls just want to have fun" was stuck in my head for 3 days after seeing the image, so how could I not use it here.

I, again, stepped out of my comfort zone by using some brighter paper. I still added my all time favorite embellishments, lace, flowers and pearls. After all, it is a very "girly" image.

Hopefully we never really grow up. Spending time playing with the little ones is so much fun. I have the wonderful memories of those crazy times with my kids. They are all grown up now and I have no idea if they remember jumping in puddles with me. I am so glad I do. Now to wait for my grandson to grow old enough to jump around in the puddles!
