Back In My Craft Room!

Phew, this illness really knocked me out! I finally got to play yesterday for the first time since October. How fun!!!

I decided I needed to work on some coloring. WOW, I was so intimidated!! Coloring is not like riding a bike, at least not for me. It is something that needs to be practiced often. Knowing this, I decided to use an image that is fairly simple to color.

This sketch image already has the shaded areas showing, making it much easier to blend the colors and hightlight properly.

This image is from the Stampin' Up set called Always Elegant. Isn't it pretty. I purchased it a while ago, but did not use it because I had no idea what kind of flower it was! I thought it was a dogwood, but when it arrived, I realized it was something else. How would I know what color it should be if I didn't even know what kind of flower it was.

I got sick before I had a chance to ask my demo, but...as I returned home and started to play on the computer again, what did I find? A picture of this very flower. It is an English Rose.

I used my favorite embellishments (rhinestones from SU), digital paper from Bearly Mine Designs, lace, charms and nesties. This is the perfect way to get back into crafting if you have been away from it for a while. Use your favorites! They will be easiest things to work with.

Of course I had to decorate the inside. This flower image is from the same SU set. The sentiment is my most used one of all and is from the SU set Elegant Cheer.

Thank you so much for sticking with me through this trial and for all the prayers said on my behalf. They did not go unheard!
