In the Pink Paper Tole

Can you believe there was a time that I was not fond of flowers. When my husband and I first got married, I told him to never send me flowers (I know!!! Foot in mouth) AND he listened to me (how often does THAT happen, LOL) After 27 years, he still has not bought me flowers. The only thing is, I love flowers now.

What is a girl to do? Well, what I do is make alot of flower cards! I don't send them to myself, ha ha ha, but I do have fun making them and looking at them. Now, if only they would fill my house with the lovely scent that flowers give!
This paper tole image was not die cut, but I actually cut out those little pieces. I find cutting and coloring to be very relaxing for some very strange reason. Before layering the image, I took the pieces that would be on top and tried to shape them a bit. I am not very good at it yet, but I will keep trying. The more they look like real flowers, the better I can pretend my husband sent them (wink, just kidding)

I added some dazzling diamonds to the frame and flowers to add a little something special. Flowers and diamonds, YUM...I should send a copy of this post to my husbands email, bwaaa ha ha ha...Do you think he will come home with flowers and diamonds???

Using the Stampin' Up set Of The Earth, I decorated the inside of the card. I made a frame to match the front of the card and attached that to the back of the card front. Of course, I had to add the dazzling diamonds here to.

Well, I am off to start my day. While I am out, I think I will stop at the store and get a small potted flowering plant!

Challenges I am entering this card into:
No Time to Stamp: add leaves
Res-Q: use your scissors
Totally Stampalicious: Paper Flowers

This is beautiful. Just tell him that you have changed your mind on the flowers thing. Tell him he's free to surprise you *LOL*
