Sew Many Cards Challenge #12

SMC Blog Banner
Welcome to SEW Many Cards Challenge #12.
We have an awesome sponsor this week, KLM Designs.
KLMSponsorshipBlinkie
They have the most wonderful variety of images and sentiments. There is sure to be something for any taste. With each image you will get a JPEG and a PNG file, which come in a ZIP format.
They are offering 3 digital images to the winner!
The challenge this week is a really fun one: ANYTHING GOES! This is my favorite type of challenge. It really lets the creative juices flow.
With the wonderful image from KLM called Make Our Own Globe, you can change the size then add any image inside that you want. You can add a digital image before printing or you could add a stamped image after printing. Either way, you will have made your own.
Sandcastle snowglobe
I combined the globe image with the sentiment from the KLM set Lily. After sizing I inserted the Sew Many Cards image Sandcastle.

I coated the "glass" of the globe with Crystal effects. I applied it with a paintbrush to keep the coat thin. I also wanted to make the brush strokes follow the shape of the globe to give the appearance of rounded glass rather than just the shine of glass. You can see in the above photos that the light reflects off the globe in a more circular pattern giving it more of a 3 dimensional appearance.
